Further Maths is suitable for able students who have a flair for mathematics and enjoy the challenge of understanding mathematics at a higher level than followed in A Level Mathematics. It gives excellent grounding for students who may intend to study mathematics beyond A Level

Course Breakdown

All students study a CORE content

• Mathematical argument, language and proof
• Mathematical problem solving
• Mathematical modelling
• Compulsory content

and then a choice of options from Mechanics, Statistics and Discrete Mathematics.

Students must study two of these options.

How is the Course Assessed?

Overall assessment is then the total of all 3 exam papers.
