I have worked for Valley School for 16 years, having various roles from reprographics assistant, receptionist and attendance officer. When the new schools were built and the Post 16 Centre opened in 2007 I decided I would like a new challenge. I started as receptionist / admin assistant and eventually became exams officer. I now a Learning Manager and thoroughly enjoy the role. I am currently Year 12 Learning Manager and my role is to be the first point of contact for personal and emotional issues for students as well as supporting students with their learning. This includes tracking student progress, the implementation of intervention following Praising Stars© reports, monitoring attendance and offering advice and guidance regarding UCAS applications.
