Taster Events

Our Open Evening will take place on Thursday 23rd November 2023, with 2 time slots available - 4.30pm - 6.00pm and 6.30pm to 8.00pm.  Please use the form on our homepage to make a booking.

Year 11 Discover Post 16 Days are aimed at any student who has applied for a place at Outwood Post 16 Centre or is now considering continuing their education at the Post 16 Centre.

These are planned to take place on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th July 2024. Students are invited to attend on Wednesday 17th July for a full day of various activities aimed at helping to prepare students for the next stage of their academic studies. On Thursday 18th July, A Level subject specialists will deliver 1 hour lessons in all the subjects offered at the Post 16 Centre.  The sessions provide subject specific information and provides an opportunity for students to sample up to 5 subjects throughout the day.  Students can attend any subject sessions, not just the subjects they have already selected and this is particularly important if they are considering changing their subject choices.  

Work experience is an excellent attribute to add to any university, apprenticeship or employment application.  At Outwood Post 16 Centre, we actively assist students to gain valuable work experience.  Currently there are many universities, local employers, NHS etc offering virtual work experience to ensure no student is disadvantaged.
